Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy (OT) helps people who struggle to do everyday tasks because of poor motor skills. For children, that includes tasks that are part of learning and functioning well at school. OT works on the skills that children need to do the things they struggle with, from zipping their coat to writing and typing. (source:https://www.understood.org/en/)
Speech-Language Pathology
SLPs (also known as speech-language therapists or speech therapists) are trained to work on many types of learning differences. These include language disorders, Dyslexia
Auditory Processing Disorder and social communication.
As part of their work, they address a wide range of skills. They might help a child with social skills issues make appropriate conversation, or they might help struggling readers learn phonological awareness and gain comprehension. Our SLPs and CDAs (Communicative Disorders Assistants) work one-on-one with your child for therapy treatment. (source: https://www.understood.org/en)
